Abstract

The article is devoted to the comprehension of the mobility systems of in contemporary world. Mobility is considered to be both real and potential actions in their connection with social relations in space and time. These actions tend to create different kinds of the systems of mobility. So, it considered that, in general, any system of mobility is a complex of social relations and material infrastructure that makes a certain type of movement possible, repeatable and predictable. Mobility systems include not just the actual moving people and objects, but also flows of all kinds of ideas, financial actives or social links, as well as fixed objects of physical infrastructure and everything that provides and supplies them. Any single action or movement is possible only as a part of a certain set of mobility systems and flows, which are being produced by these mobilities systems. Approaches to studying the flows of such scientists as A. Appadurai, J. Urry, M. Castells and some others are analyzed. Attention is paid to the representatives of the actor-network theory B. Latour and J. Law. The existence of such flows is possible only in a globalized world that approached to the high level of technologization. The global movement of information and certain cultural patterns contributes to the formation of a global society and global culture. The article proposes explanations on how flows influence culture in contemporary world. The peculiarities of such influence on high and popular types of culture are distinguished. The contribution of mobility flows in forming cultural tastes is studied. It considered that this contribution tends to spread the patterns of popular culture. The conclusion is made that contemporary global world is interested in the existence of mass culture due to its possibility to convert the types of the capitals in some easy ways. So, modern systems of mobilities contributes to the reproduction of the cultural inequality. The results of the research could be used in further development of the sociology of mobilities and research of the impact of these mobilities on the reproduction of different cultural samples.
