Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze bilateral relations between Poland and Be¬larus from 1990 to 1999. The lower time fence is predetermined by the beginning of the Poland’s «Policy of two ways», where Poland recognizes Belarus as a independent subject of international relations for the first time, and the upper time fence is the Poland’s entry into NATO and conclusion of an Agreement on creation of an Allied state between Belarus and Russia, what has marked the beginning of a new stage of re¬lations between Poland and Belarus. We have followed the trends in relations between the countries and on that basis we tried to analyze the grounds of national interests of the countries in each other that became the principle of state-to-state relations of Poland and Belarus.
