Abstract

Based on the analysis of the latest changes in the family as social institute the article reveals and describes new tendencies in population genesial cycle in terms of social changes and in the context of evolutional and institutional paradigms. Explication is given to such up-to-date social phenomena as «conscious single motherhood», «surrogate motherhood», and «motherhood among teenagers». The article concludes that the current transformational tendencies in family reproductive function stem from the changes which affected the family structure and other functions of this social institute. We thoroughly examined several ideas of conscious single motherhood as a woman’s preference of choice to become mother and stay single. In such cases women agree to have nuclear family but they opt for a child with relevant losses when it comes to wedlock. Conscious single motherhood may become an option for a surrogate mother as well. This phenomenon happens quite seldom but may spread because of non-traditional marriages liberalization. When it comes to mothers-teenagers we have determined an up-to-date problem — they have to graduate since the education is the socialization basis for young mothers.
